Perch Perkins is the eccentric, excitable news reporter of Bikini Bottom. I initially designed Perch with this funkiness in mind, aiming for fun colors and shapes, with an open jacket for a news reporter feel. Upon examining the cartoon Perch Perkins, I revised the design to maintain Perch’s blue color palette. The final product reflects the second design; highlights including a sequined jacket (resembling fish scales), necktie, and flowing blue jumpsuit that was altered from a dress.
