Cappies is an international writing organization in which high school students watch and critique performances by high schools in their respective region. It is also an awards program used to recognize high achieving shows and individuals under the overarching goal to celebrate high school theatre.
I have participated in Cappies since my sophomore year, and it is one of my favorite involvements from all of high school. Cappies is an outstanding opportunity to develop descriptive writing techniques, critiquing skills, and share a common passion for art with other students. I am grateful to be a Lead Critic of the UHS Cappies Critics Team in the 2022-2023 school year.
